News Articles 10 Aug 2004 Longer Employment Authorization Cards Effective July 30, 2004, the US CIS will now be authorized to issue Employment Authorization (EAD) cards for longer than 1 year. This is expected to be a significant benefit to persons who are awaiting Adjustment of Status who, due to long processing delays, have been forced to apply for 3 and 4 EAD extensions. This will not impact persons who are only limited to 1 year EAD cards (F-1 students, etc.). A copy of the Regulation can be found here.
